GWAR started in Richmond, Virginia in a warehouse building 

where My movie project 

"Scumdogs of the Universe" 

had a head on collision with 

Dave Brockie's band 

Death Piggy

Number of these people currently in the band . . . ZERO.

but that's okay.

Most of the iconic characters were there from the beginning although their actors 

and looks changed.  

 For me as an artist,  GWAR became a vehicle to experiment with every form of graphic arts known to man!!

Having a name that's a four letter word lent itself well to doing a lot of logos for all kinds of merch and promo advertisements.

One of the best ways to tell the story of GWAR was through Comics.  As editor of GWAR's self published Full Color Comic 

"Slave Pit Funnies.  

It was important to me that 

ALL the talented GWAR artists 

were represented

One of the most important things I did was publish a GWAR newsletter called Mind Control Monthly that featured Comics,  Photos and newspaper clippings with each issue devoted to a different GWAR character!

As a video director;

drawing storyboards and shooting diagrams is a crucial way to communicate complex video shoots to cast and crew.

I got to work on a few really fun animation projects too!
