C O B R A T H R O N E

This was a really fun job I did for a cable TV show called Lucha Undergrounde

COBRA MOON is an evil Goddess of Lucha Wrestling.  She has several wrestlers who are her underlings and the hero is chained to a metal ring in the floor with almost enough chain to reach her

Who could they possibly call to build such a thing?!?!!

They provided a chair around which I sculpted the Cobra Throne from big blocks of styrofoam

I also carved a few of the details on the set,  like this 3D plaque of COBRA MOON's symbol.

this was their design,  my job was to render it accurately in three dimensions.

In order to make the carving symmetrical, I made a stensil of the design and flipped it to draw each side.  

METALACHI is the "house" band

of Lucha Underground.  They take your fave Metal cover songs and twist them into MARIACHI tunes!

The next year,  they had a wierd rabbit character who lived underground and had a throne made from a tree stump.
